Patrick Mazepink began his career in dogs at the age of 13, starting in German Shepherds. He was hooked on the breed from a young age, and under the guidance of Georgianna Hornberger began showing and breeding German Shepherds with his parents, Joseph and Charlene Mazepink (The beginning of Mazerick German Shepherds). At the age of 18, Patrick went on to further his education of showing, conditioning and training German Shepherds by going to work under James and Sheree Moses, and eventually Lenny Brown. What he learned under the guidance of all whom he worked for /studied under has provided him a wealth of knowledge he now applies to his own breeding program and handling business.
Christina Mazepink began her career in dogs at the age of 9, after falling in love with Cardigan Welsh Corgis. After studying dog behavior and performance training under behaviorist Dana Connolly, Christina began showing AKC Conformation, working under breeder-mentors starting at 11 years old (Denali Salukis, Island Grove GSDs, Nottingham Poms, Celtic's Mastiffs, Deja Vu Pekes). Continuing education in Cardigans as well as many other breeds, she went on to work for Rindi Gaudet and Amy Booth. That invaluable experience along with many others equipped Christina to begin her career handling professionally, and with her continued education in breeding Cardigan Welsh Corgis under Cathy Baker and Paula O'Donnell, she began Onalee Cardigans.
“We are both incredibly grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to us both throughout our careers in dogs. We were both given the opportunity to work and learn under the 'Best of the best', from the Professional handlers, to the long time breeder-mentors, and we could never thank you all enough. As we continue our handling career together as a team, we look forward to our future and appreciate the support from our clients, friends, family and mentors in this sport.”
